Macy’s Celebrates Pride + Joy

By Harrison Furey June is LGBTQ Pride Month and people are celebrating across the country. One such celebration took place at Macy’s this past Tuesday. Macy’s celebrated Pride with its customers and local community at their annual Pride + Joy party as a testament to Macy’s commitment to “diversity, equality, inclusion and respect for all.”   The party was part of Macy’s greater Pride + Joy campaign which will see Macy’s support more than 20 Pride celebrations across the country. Hosted in conjunction with the New York City Comptroller’s office, this event aimed to support the work of the Gay Men’s Health Crisis, a nonprofit, community-based AIDS service organization.   Macy’s Celebrates Pride + Joy party in New York featured live music, performances from comedians, and appearances from other local celebrities and LGBTQ influencers. Musical performers included Marty Thomas Presents Diva, DJ Mary Mac, MIDDLESPOON, and Ada Vox while comedy acts included Michelle Slonim, Adam Sank, and Joanne Filan.
