Katy Perry Highest Paid celebrity

Thanks to an extremely impressive music career and a ton of endorsements, the 33-year-old pop star is raking in cash faster than you can say “swish, swish, bish.” Let’s get the breakdown, shall we?

Her Album Sales Are Insane $$$

Okay, time to acknowledge the elephant in the room: Katy Perry’s newest album Witness flopped. She knows it, we know it, everyone knows it. But her overall album sales are massive. Per the Record Industry Recording Katy’s earned $98 million in digital singles (earning the #4 spot after Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Eminem). Plus, she’s had at leastof her singles make $5 million EACH, including “Firework,” “California Gurls,” and “Roar.”

The “Roar” singer earned the No. 3 spot on Forbes Highest Paid Celebrity list, coming in just behind boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Perry earned $135 million from touring in the past 12 months — more than Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna combined.

The pop singer prides herself on her entrepreneurship and domination of the pop charts. “I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Perry told Forbes.  “I’m an entrepreneur… I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.

The Prismatic World Tour consisted of 124 shows, 75 of them taking place abroad. Her 2012 documentary Part of Me grossed $33 million on a $6 million budget. She is the face of brands such as Cover Girl, Popchips and Adidas. “One thing I’ve been able to do is know the power of having equity deals,” Perry said to Forbes. “I don’t ever like to do things unless I’m really a part of them.”

Is Katy Perry higher paid than Beyonce?
