Hip-Hop is at the American Museum Of Natural History. Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry opened at the famed New York City Museum on Thursday, May 9 ending in December, and it is must attend for any proper Rap fans.

Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry honors the profound cultural impact of hip-hop through an exquisite collection of jewelry adorned by its most legendary figures.

Notable pieces featured in the exhibition include Slick Rick’s jewel-encrusted crown, the iconic gold ‘Jesus piece’ worn by the Notorious B.I.G., the diamond-laden Roc-A-Fella medallion associated with Jay-Z’s record label, Nicki Minaj’s dazzling ‘Barbie’ pendant, as well as creations from Erykah Badu, A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, FERG, and Tyler, the Creator, among others.
The dates can change because the museum is open until Dec 31st.
In conjunction with New York City’s commemoration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary as a worldwide phenomenon, Ice Cold will trace the progression of jewelry within the hip-hop culture over the last fifty years. This journey begins with the oversized gold chains favored by rap pioneers in the 1980s and continues through the 1990s, a period when emcees who became business moguls showcased record label pendants adorned with diamonds and platinum
