Brunch & Tipsy Tea at Tanner Smith’s: A Vintage Escape in Midtown brunch & Tipsy Tea at Tanner Smith’s: A Vintage Escape in Midtown

This past weekend, I wandered into Tanner Smith’s at 204 W 55th Street for a brunch experience that was anything but ordinary—and I’m still smiling about it. With its Prohibition-era vintage decor, cozy corners, and speakeasy charm, the space felt like stepping into a different time. Think velvet, exposed brick, and a moody glow that makes you want to linger.
But let’s talk about the real stars of the show: brunch and Tipsy Tea. I ordered the pancakes, and when I say they were huge, I mean plate-dominating, fluffy stacks that could feed a small crowd. Topped with syrup and served with a side of indulgence, they were the kind of comfort food that makes you cancel all afternoon plans.

Whether you’re brunching with friends or looking for a whimsical date spot, Tanner Smith’s delivers a vibe that’s both nostalgic and fresh. I’ll definitely be back—for the pancakes, the tea, and maybe a cocktail or two after hours.
