IGNITE – Inspiring Girls Now In Technology Evolution
IGNITE’s mission now encompasses self-identifying girls and non-binary students at every level of their education. IGNITE is a Unique Program We train companies to have employees interact directly with the girls by suggesting activities that have been shown to increase STEM engagement for girls.
The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), with the National Science Foundation (NSF), announced the organizations and individuals to be honored with presidential awards for their excellence in teaching or mentoring in STEM. IGNITE has been named one of the 14 organizational award recipients.
The Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) recognizes outstanding efforts of mentors in encouraging the next generation of innovators and developing a science and engineering workforce that reflects the diverse talent of America.
