The Lowell has relocated its afternoon tea service from the Pembroke Room to Majorelle, the restaurant situated on the first floor. My assessment of the tea service encompasses both the quality of the service and the food offered.
The Lowell is a charming luxury hotel located in New York City, and it ranks among my top choices for afternoon tea. I have visited numerous times throughout the years, and I consistently recommend it to others. In the past, afternoon tea was offered in the Pembroke Room on the hotel’s second floor. However, it is now hosted at Majorelle, the restaurant on the first floor, in an exciting collaboration with Dior.
The Location
Afternoon Tea at The Lowell Hotel, NYC. It’s refreshing to venture out and discover what the city has to offer in the realm of afternoon tea, especially when I can share the experience with fellow tea lover, Jee! The Venue The Lowell boasts a prime location, perfect for both tourists and business visitors. It’s just a short walk from high-end designer flagship stores, Central Park, and offers easy access to Midtown Manhattan.
The Tea
The Tea At the Pembroke Room, you can explore a delightful array of teas, featuring black, green, herbal, and fruity infusions. While there’s a tea sommelier on hand to offer suggestions, I opted for the timeless earl grey, my usual choice for afternoon tea. This exquisite blend combines fine China teas with the aromatic essence of Bergamot sourced from Calabria, Italy
The Food
The Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel presents three delightful afternoon tea options. This review focuses on The Classic Pembroke Tea. For those seeking a touch of luxury, The Pembroke Royal Tea features a glass of champagne, while The Lowell Imperial Tea elevates the experience further with both champagne and caviar.
