Fashion week in New York has been quite the event this year and the Global Fashion Collective
show on Saturday was no exception. The show took place at Pier 59 Studios in lower Manhattan.
Many were in attendance including famed runway coach J. Alexander, who graced the front row.
Four mostly Canadian and international designers shared the runway including Profanity by Lillz
Killz, NOT DEAD YET by ADAM-LIN BUNGAG , Kim Tiziana Rottmüller and Nozomi
Kuwahara presenting their Spring/Summer 2019 collections.
Each collection was just as colorful and edgy as the last. Lillz Killz collection was all about freedom and expression with various colors. There were also phrases such as “The Game is About to Start” and “Where The Fuck Is The Remote” across the models’ bodies and clothing.
Adam-Lin Bungag’s collection was more unisex featuring mostly black, red, and white colors
throughout each piece.
Nozomi Kuwahara’s collection was very bright and colorful with lots of lime greens, hot pinks,
and yellows. The clothes were fun and eye-catching, especially when the last model walked,
holding a pineapple.
Kim Tiziana Rottmüller’s collection was the most abstract out of the group. The
colors were dark and the clothing had many frill accents. This diverse group of designers and their designs captured the beauty and creativity from fashion designers.
