Chloe Bailey is having a blast at St. Lucia Carnival.. Chloe Bailey is on news for what she wore to St Lucia Carnival – as she was last year. St Lucia Carnival is an annual highlight on the Caribbean calendar. Each year, thousands of men, women and children travel to St Lucia for a week of parties, music, food and drink, to immerse themselves in the Carnival spirit. In 2017, among them was Bailey, wearing an outfit that framed her body, as thousands of other Carnival participants do each year. Bailey’s outfit also celebrated the cultural heritage of Carnival traditions. Carnival is rooted in African history – the history of the slave trade.
The musician took to Instagram to document her extravagant ensemble. It consisted of a dramatic headpiece resplendent with feathers in shades of blue, pink, purple, and orange. Completing the outfit, the artist also wore a bikini and matching garter belt, both of which were bedazzled.
“Baby’s first carnival with Legends Carnival!!! Had the best time of my entire life,” Chlöe gushed in her caption.
Subsequently, her look drew an avalanche of compliments from friends and fans alike. Her sister Halle Bailey chimed in with enthusiastic praise. She stated, “YOU LOOK SO AMAZING!!!!!!” Elsewhere, Issa Rae wrote, “DIVINE! I’ve never even written that before,”.
